What Is A CDC Approval?

In short, A Complying Development Certificate (CDC) is a ‘fast-track approval process for straightforward residential, commercial and industrial development, determined by your council or an accredited private certifier’ (Service NSW.) This process is derived from the ‘Codes SEPP’ policy

What Is The ‘Codes SEPP’

To simplify, the ‘State Environmental Planning Policy- Exempt and Complying Codes (Codes SEPP), is to provide a streamlined assessment process for development. This process is by supplying exempt and development codes that are state-wide. Essentially, this process is in place to allow for straightforward construction projects to gain approval without needing to complete a council Development Application (DA.)
